World Diabetes Day
Is the world's largest diabets awareness campaign reaching a global audiance of over 1 billion people in more than 160 countries.It is marked every year on 14 November , the birthday of the man who co- discovered insulin, Frederick Banting along with Charles Best in 1922. World Diabetes Day was jointly introduced by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), Comprising hundred of campaigns, activities, screenings, lectures, meetings and more.

The theme for World Diabetes Day 2020 is "The Nurse and Diabetes". The campaign aims to raise awareness around the crucial role that nurses play in supporting people living with diabetes.
